My guys

Owen and Chad went to a Rangers game last week and here they are just before they left.

Luke has stopped napping, hence he is very tired and sometimes doesn't make it up the stairs when it's time for bed.

ER visit number 367889

Okay maybe we haven't been 367889 times but it is darn close. Owen's beautiful little face took yet another hit today from his beloved brother Luke. We were making cookies when Luke hit Owen's nose with what else but a garlic press. On our way out the door Luke began to happily say sorry to Owen. I want to find some way to record it because it's the cutest thing you've ever heard. It's a high pitched noise that sounds so happy "SORRY!!" And in classic Owen fashion he immediately forgave him and said that it was okay. Man. Hopefully this little girl I'm about to have comes out with her fists drawn or I don't know how she'll make it around here.

Ding dong the witch is dead

Technically she just has a new owner, but to me she is dead. This may sound harsh but as you can see by the picture below she is not totally innocent herself. Peggy, we will not miss you. You were a terrible cat who meowed all the time, bit the children and I. So off you go to a new sucker who will figure out probably by tonight that you are a lemon of a cat.

Monday Owen was petting Peggy when she bit his cheek. This was the fourth time she's done this so, off she went. Usually when kids are involved I give the animal the benefit of doubt. But I've personally witnessed Peggy bit and scratch unprovoked many a time. Owen was always very gentle with her and now he will have another scar on his beautiful little face. Stupid cat.

I love my mama!

Last Thanksgiving we went to Utah to visit with our families. One fine morning we were on our way up the mountain for a hike, when my mom grabbed a hat. At least what she thought was a hat, it was really Chika's (the dog) sweater. We of course didn't tell her until after we snapped this now priceless photo.

But seriously, I have the best mom ever. As a mother now I am amazed that she raised six kids and still managed to be nice. Being nice is what I struggle most with and am so grateful for such a great example. Love you mom!

I may be a little partial, but...

Aren't my children the most handsome, smart, funny, kind, cleaver, children that ever lived?

Baby Girl Mead's room

I thought I'd share what baby girl's room is looking like these days. Before school got out I made her some bedding and curtains. I also painted Luke's old crib and bookcase to make it "girly". I love her room too, it's so cute. You can't see it but on the other wall I have a bunch of peg boards, that I painted and have hung up cute little clothes and photographs on. I am so excited for this little girl, I can hardly contain myself!
