On day four? we went on the infamous road to Hana with my mom and Jared. We set out early in the morning, okay about 8am, but for me that is pretty early. Especially considering that part of being a mother involves planning for everyone else. They don't tell you that before you become one but it is so true! Drinks, snacks, lunch food, wet wipes (heaven forbid if you forget those and we don't even have anyone in diapers!), chocolate, camera, map, sunscreen, towels, children's entertainment devices (DS), blankets to sit on while enjoying the ocean breezes. . .you get the picture.

Once we got all loaded up and set off we were in for some amazing beauty. We cruised the town in style in our rented mini van (Chad has fond memories). We stopped at all the noteworthy stops and got out, hiked around and took in the beautiful landscapes. We ate our lunch on a beautiful, have I mentioned Hawaii is beautiful? Breaking news people, there is beauty to be seen in Hawaii. Now that's established, we ate right on the beach where rocks were breaking the waves that came crashing in. Spectacular.

We continued on stopping often to explore. We reached Hana and decided that instead of going back the same way we had just come we'd go all the way around the island back home. That proved to be brilliant!
